About Our Products
What makes your soaps different from store-bought ones?
Our soaps are handcrafted in small batches using high-quality natural oils like olive, coconut, and castor oil. Unlike commercial soaps that often contain synthetic detergents, our traditional cold-process method creates gentle, moisturizing bars that maintain your skin’s natural balance.
Are your products tested on animals?
Never. We’re proud to be cruelty-free and test our products only on willing human volunteers (usually ourselves and our family members!). All our ingredients are ethically sourced and animal-friendly.
Do your products contain preservatives?
Our soaps are naturally preservative-free. For water-based products like lotions, we use gentle preservatives such as Vitamin E and Rosemary Extract to ensure safety and longevity. Each product’s full ingredient list is available on its product page.
Ingredients & Safety
What ingredients do you typically use in your soaps?
Our soaps contain a blend of:
Olive oil for gentle cleansing
Coconut oil for rich lather
Castor oil for moisturizing
Essential oils for natural fragrance
Botanical additives like herbs and clays
Is it safe to use handmade soap if I have sensitive skin?
Most customers with sensitive skin find our soaps gentler than commercial alternatives. We offer unscented options and can provide specific recommendations based on your skin type. However, we always recommend doing a patch test with new products.
Why do you use lye in your soaps? Is it safe?
While lye (sodium hydroxide) is used in the soap-making process, it’s completely transformed during saponification. No lye remains in the finished product. This chemical reaction is what turns oils into soap, creating a gentle, cleansing bar.
Usage & Care
How should I store my handmade soap?
Keep your soap dry between uses on a well-draining soap dish. Store unused bars in a cool, dry place. Proper storage can extend your soap’s life by several weeks.
How long do your bath bombs last?
When stored properly in an airtight container away from moisture, our bath bombs maintain their fizz and fragrance for 6-12 months. For best results, use them within 6 months of purchase.
What’s the shelf life of your lotions?
Our lotions stay fresh for up to one year when stored properly. Once opened, use within 12 months.
